Jeep Gladiator's HellFire Apocalypse May Scare The G-Class 63 6x6

If the Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6 signed Brabus is one of the benchmarks in terms of 6-wheel juggernaut, this extreme Jeep Gladiator could well overshadow it or even dethrone it.

The Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6 had better watch out! This crazy version of the Jeep Gladiator comes from a Florida-based company called Apocalypse Manufacturing. The HellFire Apocalypse, of its name, however, is not just a modified pickup. It is a six-wheel drive off-roader, based on an exclusive transmission system and active suspension. Three engine options are available, including a turbo-diesel, a 500-horsepower LS3 and the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine. It also has a winch capable of towing 4.3 tonnes and a hitch capable of supporting 5.4 tonnes. It’s designed to go anywhere and to help vehicles trying to go where they shouldn’t … and get stuck!

The list of features of the HellFire Apocalypse is long and impressive. The winch is built into a heavy-duty steel bumper, and the rear bumper as well as the windshield contours are constructed from the same material. It also comes with a molded fiber hood, LED light bar, interior mirror incorporating the rear view camera and electric steps that deploy when the doors are opened. Inside, the cabin is covered in hand-stitched leather from floor to ceiling.

Ready for adventure

The six-wheel drive system is flexible so that the Hellfire can also operate in four-wheel drive mode. The active suspension allows maximum articulation and its off-road capability is further enhanced by a set of massive 40-inch tires. The roof and doors are completely removable and Apocalypse has added a metal safe to keep valuables and “weapons” safe. The Hellfire retains the Gladiator’s infotainment system, including Bluetooth, navigation, Apple CarPlay, rear view camera, and premium audio system.

All of these engineering marvels don’t come cheap: The Apocalypse Hellfire starts from $ 150,000. Still, it’s still half the price of a 6-wheel Mercedes G-Class, while this extreme Gladiator is surely capable of doing as much as the German juggernaut.
